Life with MS: Hurry and Wait

By Chris G.

Starting off the conversation with the term “Hurry Up and Wait”. It’s a term I’m sure you have used before about different situations. For me, it comes into play with the joys of Multiple Sclerosis.

MS is nothing but a waiting game. Sitting back to the feeling of MS taking away your freedom, your enjoyment, your smile. All just a waiting game. However, you have to remember to never lose your smile. MS takes a lot, but it’s important to really sit back and realize all the good that you have in life. You are so much more than this disease.

I’ve spent most of my entire life battling this monster, realizing that though hard, I’m still alive, I’m still moving, I’m still talking and that is the greatness of life. To be able to wake up in the morning, stretch, feel the joints, even the body aches, because that means I’ve made it to another day.

How could I not smile and think life is not too bad?!
